The Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter says their kennels are full and will lower the cost of adoptions to make room at the shelter.
The municipal animal shelter said they've taken in 170 animals over the last two weeks and have only adopted out 45 during that time.
For a limited time, dogs are available for $25 and cats are available for $10.
The shelter also said they had 21 heartworm positive dogs available for adoption. If people are unable to adopt those animals, the shelter is happy to take a donation to help cover the cost of the dog's treatment.
"Treatment costs vary from dog to dog and vet to vet, but any donated amount will help tremendously. These babies deserve a chance to have a happy and healthy life too," the shelter said on Facebook.
The Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter is located at 403 Hickory Lane in Weatherford. The shelter is open Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
