Thick Fog Settles Across Texas, Disrupts Flights

A dense morning fog has settled over much of Texas and is slowing the morning commute while also delaying some flights.

The conditions prompted air traffic controllers to order ground stops at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

As of 9:20 a.m., 30 flights had been delayed and nine more were canceled at D/FW Airport.

Fog also is impairing visibility in the Austin, Houston and San Antonio regions, and the National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for many parts of the state.

Forecasts for metro regions across Texas call for the thick fog to lift later Tuesday morning, giving way to partly cloudy skies.
