Planning to head to the Texas coast this summer? If so, there's a new way to check the conditions at the beach before leaving Dallas-Fort Worth.
The state and Environmental Protection Agency launced Texas Beach Watch on Wednesday.
The Web site includes water quality conditions from 167 reporting stations along the Texas coast.
Boaters, anglers, swimmers and others can access the information 24/7. The information is even available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Now, if only we could reserve a spot on the beach before leaving the house ...
