Police are investigating a suspicious device found inside the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center.[[417220253,C]]
Both VA Hospital and Dallas police, as well as Dallas Fire-Rescue, were on the the scene in the 4500 block of South Lancaster Road Monday at about 2:10 p.m.
Hospital officials said detectives were conducting an investigation which led them to an employee's office. During the investigation, they found a suspicious package.
Portions of the hospital were evacuated and the Dallas Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (EOD) was called to the scene to further investigate the device.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., EOD determined the package did not pose a threat and everyone permitted back inside.
