Several Exposed to Carbon Monoxide in Dallas

Several people reported feeling ill after possible carbon monoxide poisoning Tuesday evening at an apartment complex in south Oak Cliff.

Dallas Fire-Rescue was dispatched after 9 p.m. to the Red Bird Trail Apartments in the 3600 block of West Red Bird Lane, where multiple people may have been exposed to carbon monoxide.

Investigators were looking to see if a leak in a boiler room was the source of the carbon monoxide.

Five people were transported to area hospitals in what was described as non-life threatening condition.

Residents were allowed back into their apartments by about 10:30 p.m.
