Rockport Man Gets 5 Life Terms for Sex Assault of Girls

A South Texas man has been sentenced to five life prison terms after a jury convicted him of sexually assaulting 13-year-old mentally impaired twin girls.

State District Judge Robert Cheshire imposed the sentences Friday on 65-year-old Donell Holland, of Rockport. An Aransas County jury earlier in the week convicted Holland of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.

The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports Holland also received two 15-year prison sentences for the indecency convictions.

Holland previously spent four years in prison for an earlier conviction for aggravated assault.
