A Dallas police officer was hospitalized Thursday after being involved in a major crash while responding to a call, police said. [[421302174,R]]
Dallas police said the officer was responding to a high priority call just after 8 a.m. when a driver exiting Walton Walker failed to yield the right of way and entered the officer's path.
The officer then hit the rear of another vehicle along the northbound Loop 12 service road near West Davis Street.
The officer was transported to a hospital with injuries that police said were not life threatening.
Texas Sky Ranger video showed front-end damage to the police cruiser. Two other vehicles in the area — a white Toyota Corolla and a black Kia Soul — appeared to be damaged.
No further information was released.
