Driver Arrested After High-Speed Police Chase Ends in Dallas

A driver is in custody following a high-speed police chase Friday afternoon that began in Fort Worth and ended in Dallas.

Police told NBC 5 that the female driver was suspected of attempting to deposit a possible stolen check at a Wells Fargo Bank on the 500 block of Carroll Street.

The chase moved at a high-rate of speed eastbound on Interstate 30 through Arlington and Grand Prairie, before the driver exited at Riverside Drive in Dallas, and the woman's vehicle became stuck on a median near the Fuel City gas station.

A high-speed police pursuit that began Friday afternoon in Fort Worth ended in Dallas after the driver exited onto Riverfront Drive and became stuck.

Three Fort Worth police vehicles converged, trapping the woman's vehicle from traveling any farther, and officers shattered the driver's side window to open her door and arrest her.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was placed into custody and taken to a Dallas hospital for treatment of "minor health issues," police said.
