Police shot and killed a man suspected of shooting two people outside a San Antonio karaoke bar.
The shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday outside Dad's Sing Along Club on the city's North Side. Officers said Richard and Desiree Castilleja became involved in an altercation with bar staff and were ejected. Police Sgt. Javier Salazar says Richard Castilleja returned with a gun and began firing at bar patrons in the parking lot, wounding two.
Salazar says a nearby officer heard the shots and dashed to the scene, confronted the gunman and, fearing for the safety of those nearby, shot and killed him.
Desiree Catilleja was charged with aggravated assault and booked into the Bexar County Jail. No attorney was listed in online records.
