Police Chase Ends When Driver Crashes into Home

Authorities said they chased a vehicle through two counties before the suspect crashed into a Greenville home Wednesday.

Hopkins County Sheriff's Office officials said the chase started when a motorist called police and reported a reckless driver. Police found the vehicle and tried to pull it over, but the driver refused.[[298439561,C]]

The driver led authorities from Hopkins County, into Hunt County and finally into a Greenville neighborhood. Greenville police said the vehicle struck a gas line and then crashed into the home in the 6600 block of Stonewall Street.

The driver is at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Authorities said they do not know the driver's condition.
