A man is dead and a 2-year-old child is unharmed after a standoff at an apartment complex in Wilmer Wednesday morning, police say.
It happened about 8:25 a.m. near Interstate 45 and Belt Line Road in southeastern Dallas County.
The child was found unharmed inside the home, a police spokesman said.
Police did not describe the child's relationship to the man, who has not been identified.[[525538492,C]]
