Paschal High School's marching band stayed silent during part of its halftime show to honor a fallen student.
Rick Sek, a 15-year-old sophomore and French horn player, drowned last week at a band party.
On Friday, the band honored Sek with a moment of silence.
The band also shouted, βWho do we play for? Rick Sek!β before marching off the field of the halftime show versus Arlington Heights.
The Arlington Heights band also presented Paschalβs band with a banner to honor Sek.
The Paschal band is making bracelets to honor Sek. Donations from the sale of the bracelets will go to the Sek family.
