Parsons Showing Signs of Life For Mavs

Hey look, Chandler Parsons finally showed up for the Mavs. Yeah, itโ€™s taken until early December. But better late than never.

Bolstered by admittedly weaker defenses and a deft new head-fake, Parsons is beginning to resemble the player the Mavs planned on when they signed him to a $46 million deal last summer.

In last nightโ€™s romp over the Bucks he had his most productive game in Dallas, scoring 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting including four 3-pointers.

โ€œLaw of averages,โ€ Parsons said to reporters in the postgame locker room at American Airlines Center. โ€œIโ€™m going to shoot the ball at a certain percentage. Iโ€™m going to have games like tonight, and I'm going to have games where I struggle, but I've just got to find a way to find more consistency.โ€

Even with last nightโ€™s outburst that helped the Mavs improve to 16-6, Parsonsโ€™ stats โ€” shooting percentage, 3-point percentage, points, assists and rebounds โ€” are all down from last season in Houston.

A native Texan who was born in Duncanville and graduated from UT-Arlington, Richie Whitt has been a mainstay in the Metroplex media since 1986. Heโ€™s held prominent roles on all media platforms including newspaper (Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Observer), radio (105.3 The Fan) and TV (co-host on TXA 21 and numerous guest appearances, including NBC 5). He currently lives in McKinney with his wife, Sybil, and two very spoiled dogs.
