A trailing edge of showers over our northern counties may strengthen into thunderstorms as they drift south and east through the morning. Be prepared for brief showers and rumbles of thunder from DFW to the north Thursday morning. The heavier storms will likely remain north of the Red River. Any rain in the area will quickly leave and the sky will clear out by Thursday afternoon, resulting in a rapid warm up.
