The Texas Rangers rotation has taken some serious hits over the last month.

Yu Darivsh is on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder discomfort, Derek Holland is on the 15-day disabled list with left shoulder inflammation and Colby Lewis is expected to be out a couple of months with a strained lat muscle. That's the bad news.

Here's the good news.

Martin Perez is rolling for the red hot Rangers. The lefty won his sixth straight decision Sunday in the series finale against the Boston Red Sox, matching his longest win streak of his career.  Perez went six innings and allowed one earned run in the Rangers 6-2 win and got his 11th quality start, tying Cole Hamels for the 2nd-most on the club.  Perez moves to 7-4 on the season with six of those wins coming at Globe Life Park in Arlington, that's the most for the for any Rangers pitcher this season.

The Rangers feel pretty confident when Perez steps on the mound. Texas is 7-0 in his last seven starts.

"It seems like that every time he goes out we have great confidence behind him," Rangers managers Jeff Banister said about Perez.  "Early on we didn't give him a lot of run support. Now we seem to be getting him some run support so he can pitch from in front. But yeah, it seems to be a solid stabilizer along with Cole. It's a plus."

Perez continues to be one of the main reasons the Rangers are among the best teams in baseball.
