Crews are making big progress on the new Margaret McDermott Bridge along Interstate 30 near Downtown Dallas.
One of the signature arches is nearly complete, and the final piece is ready to be lifted into place.
The Texas Department of Transportation says workers are putting the final touches on the last piece, and it should be hoisted into place by the end of the month.
The $113 million project was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, who also designed the nearby Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.
The scale of the arches is enormous. They will soar 328-feet-high with a length of 1,311 feet. That's longer than four football fields.
The Margaret McDermott Bridge is scheduled to be finished in the spring of 2017.
