Infant Killed, 3 Others Injured in Crash on Interstate 30

A family of four was involved in a single-car crash on Interstate 30 Wednesday morning that left an infant dead and three other people injured, according to MedStar Ambulance Service.

Fort Worth police said the driver hit a grass embankment at about 10:30 a.m. on westbound I-30 and Bridgewood Drive.

A 6-month-old child, identified as Nevaeh Brooks, died after being transported to Cook Children's Medical Center. A 1-year-old child was also transported there, police said.

The 1-year-old child's injuries are not considered life threatening, according to MedStar. 

The two adults were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.

Two lanes of westbound I-30 were closed because of the crash but have since reopened.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
