Two police officers credited with stopping last year's shooting rampage at Fort Hood will be guests of the first lady during Wednesday's State of the Union speech.
On Tuesday, Sergeant Munley got a chance to visit with Texas Senators John Cornyn and Kay Bailey Hutchison.

On Nov. 5, 2009, the officers opened fire on Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who is accused of killing 13 people in the worst mass murder on a U.S. military base. Munley was wounded in the incident.
According to witnesses, Hasan walked into a processing center at Fort Hood in Texas and opened fire with a pair of handguns. Hasan has been charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.
