A fatal crash has closed part of southbound Interstate 35 north of Denton Thursday.
According to police, the driver of a red Hummer H2 lost control of his vehicle near Ganzer Road and crashed into a concrete barrier between the highway and Frontage Road.
The male driver was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton; a female passenger in the vehicle died at the scene.
Officials in Denton are investigating the crash.
