DFW Airport Makes Worst Delay List, Again

Dallas-Fort Worth International airport is one of the worst in the country for flight delays this year, but the news isn't all bad, according to Travel + Leisure Magazine.

While DFW comes in tied at No. 4 on their list for worst on-time performance, it decreased its flight delays by 6 percent, the magazine said. The airport shares the spot with New York's LaGuardia (LGA) and John F. Kennedy (JFK) airports.

Every year the magazine compiles a list of the best and worst airports for on-time performance using stats from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The bureau keeps tabs on flights that have departed more than 15 minutes behind schedule.

The magazine noted an overall improvement in on-time performance, as the economy created less congested airports and fewer flights.  It compiled the lists using data from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009.
