Scott County authorities have identified a burned body found Oct. 17 off a local road near Lake, Miss., as a Texas woman.
Sheriff Mike Lee says investigators believe the slaying of the victim, 32-year-old Kizzy Richardson Walker of DeSoto, Texas, occurred in Texas and her body was brought to east Mississippi and set on fire.
Lee says DeSoto, Texas, authorities have charged Gregory Walker with murder in the woman's death. Walker was being held in the local jail.
Lee says the investigation was continuing.
