Day Spa Robbers Caught Within 48 Hours

The Dallas Police Department say they have arrested three people in connection with robberies that took place at day spas this week.

Dallas police said Jacob Almond Brown and Ladarius Dewayne Bascom walked into the Home Town Day Spa on the 2600 block of Walnut Hill Lane at about 9 a.m. Monday and locked the door.

Antonio Cooper, who police said was their accomplice, waited outside.

With the door locked, police said Brown robbed one person at knife point while Bascom threatened other victims with a stun gun.

Police said the trio then robbed the Good Time Spa on the 2800 block of W. Northwest Highway the next day. This time they used a gun and left the people zip-tied inside, police said.

Officers were able to respond quickly and arrested Cooper, who police said gave up Brown's and Bascom's names.

Both Brown and Bascom were arrested and police said officers found them with property that belonged to one of the robbery victims.

The two men have been charged with robbery of the Home Town Day Spa while Cooper is also facing charges after security cameras at the Good Time Spa linked him to the crime, Dallas police said.

Brown is currently being charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a $225,000 bond. Bascom is currently being charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one charge of evading arrest. His bond is set at $201,000.

Detectives are still investigating to determine if additional charges may be added to their cases.
