Dallas Police Hope Tattoos Could Help Identify Homicide Victim

Dallas police are asking for the public's help identifying the victim of a homicide whose body was found last week.

Police said they found a man's body July 29 in the 5600 block of Riverside Drive but were unable to determine the man's identity or race due to severe decomposition.

The man was found wearing a blue-and-white cotton tube top with straps, blue shorts and black Nike flip flops along with a black wig and sunglasses. He also had false fingernails with what police said appeared to be diamond studs on them with pink tips.

Police released an artist's rendering of the man's tattoos, hoping they might help identify him.

  • Right shoulder: a heart with the name "Willie" inside of it and a letter "D" or hat underneath the name Willie
  • Right shoulder: single dice
  • Right calf: tattoo of the name "Shade"
  • Right thigh: banner and star

Anyone with information on the person's identity is asked to call Dallas homicide detectives at 214-671-3650.
