Here's a daily list of crimes across North Texas compiled on Feb. 18.

DRIVER ARRESTED IN WRECK THAT KILLED NEWLYWED OUTSIDE CHURCH
Police arrested a 21-year-old driver in a one-car wreck that killed a newlywed husband in Grapevine last weekend, the Dallas Morning News reports. Stephen D. Powers, a U.S. Marine, faces charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault, police said. He was released on $15,000 bond Wednesday morning. Michael Bentley, 21, of Roanoke and his 19-year-old wife of two months, Courtney, were riding with Powers Sunday evening on North Park Boulevard in Grapevine when Powers lost control of the car and crashed into a brick sign outside First Presbyterian Church, police said. VALENTINE'S SEX AD TARGETS DENTON WOMAN
A man faces charges of harassment after he allegedly attempted to get back at a woman who spurned him by putting her contact information and photo on a Craigslist personal ad, the Star-Telegram reports. Since the ad was placed on Valentine's Day, the 21-year-old Denton woman has reportedly received over 200 messages and phone calls promising her sex. She told police that her co-worker, who attempted to date her, posted the ad.  Click here to read more on NBCDFW.com

MAN SUSPECTED IN KIDNAPPING ATTEMPT ARRESTED
Euless police arrested a man accused of attempting to kidnap a 13-year-old girl.  Investigators said Jose Linares Ramirez tried to grab the girl Monday as she walked home from Euless Junior High on Denton Drive.  The student ran to a nearby house where she got help and police were able to arrest Ramirez nearby.  Police are trying to see if he is linked to other kidnapping attempts in North Texas.

MAN ACCUSED OF CHILD SEX ASSAULTS TRANSFERRED TO STATE HOSPITAL
A Keller man accused of sexually assaulting several young children in his backyard miniature train park was in a state hospital Wednesday just days after a judge ordered him committed, the Star-Telegram reports. Clinton Don Simpson, 66, the owner of Mr. Don's Whistle Stop, was in the Vernon State Hospital after he was found incompetent to stand trial on Jan. 23. Simpson must stay at the maximum-security unit for no more than 120 days, according to Tarrant County criminal court documents. Click here to read this story from the Star-Telegram.

WOMAN ARRESTED, CHARGED IN ROBBERY OF ELDERLY WOMAN
A Fort Worth woman has been arrested and charged with robbing and beating a 90-year-old woman in October, police said. Police said Sheila Parker, 44, is a suspect in a series of attacks on elderly grocery shoppers.  Parker may have worked with two or three other women to target about a dozen victims, and more arrests and charges are possible, police said. Investigators said a tip from a surveillance photo led to Parker's arrest. Click here to read this story on NBCDFW.com.

THIEVES HIT NORTH RICHLAND HILLS CUB SCOUT GROUP
North Richland Hills police are investigating after a local cub scout group's trailer and pine-box derby racing track were stolen from the Smithfield United Methodist Church's parking lot over the weekend. Police said the items are valued around $4,000.  The scout group said it spent two years raising money for the track and now they have to start over.

COACH RESIGNS AMID ALLEGATIONS OF IMPROPER RELATIONSHIP
A North Texas coach has resigned amid an allegation of an inappropriate relationship with a student. The girls soccer coach at Cedar Hill High School, Daniel Clay, was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student. School officials said there was evidence that there were notes or letters passed between the two, but no allegations of sexual misconduct were reported. Click here to read this story on NBCDFW.com
