
In cases when a person with an intellectual disability is missing, an Endangered Missing Persons Alert may be issued
A 14-year-old boy reported missing in Coppell Monday afternoon was found in good condition early Tuesday morning in Irving, police say.
In a news release posted on social media late Tuesday morning, police said the child was located "in good condition" at about 6:12 a.m. He was returned to his family.

The Texas Department of Public Safety had issued an endangered missing persons alert overnight for the teen. The DPS said he has an intellectual disability and his disappearance posed a risk to his health and safety.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Coppell Fire Department and Carrollton police, took part in the search for the boy.
