Women Hope to Wrestle Their Way Into the Rio Summer Olympic Games

Friday morning in Frisco, five female wrestlers for Team USA tried to punch a ticket to the Rio Summer Olympics for their country, with the first four coming up short.

Not number five. Erin Clodgo had lost every time she had faced recent opponents. That is, until Friday, when she came through with a big victory for Team USA.

"The Olympic team trials are in April, so I still have to qualify myself," Clodgo pointed out. "But I qualified the 63-kilo weight class for the United States for the Olympics. And that's a good feeling. That's a good feeling that I did that for our country."

The USA wrestlers who did not win Friday will get another shot to qualify in Mongolia in a few weeks.
