Crews installing utility poles accidentally ruptured a water line along Central Expressway and Arapaho in Richardson this morning.
The broken water main shot water high into the air and was caught on camera by NBC DFW viewers.
Officials with the City of Richardson say repair crews are in the process of shutting down valves that lead from the leak, but that water will continue to flow until pressure in the pipe dissipates.
The latest news from around North Texas.
Repairs are estimated to take up to three days.
