The bodies of a man and a woman have been found in the garage of a Houston-area home after a friend reported not being able to reach one of them.
Harris County sheriff's deputies on Wednesday night discovered the bodies after entering the residence and detecting a foul odor.
Investigators are treating the deaths as homicides. A coroner will determine how the pair died.
The sheriff's department late Wednesday afternoon received a call from a woman who said her friend had not been seen or heard from for several days. Sgt. Felipe Rivera says deputies went to the residence and found the bodies.
Authorities did not immediately say whether the caller had sought information about the man or the woman.
Names of the victims weren't immediately released.
