Renovations to the intersection of West Berry and University Drive will open July 16, three weeks ahead of schedule, the city says.
Construction in the area began June 5 and was expidited with hopes of completing the project before the fall semester began at nearby Texas Christian University and Paschal High School.
The renovation took about five weeks to complete.
While the intersection will be open, repair work will continue along West Berry between University and Waits Avenue. Work along that stretch of Berry is expected to continue for another 8 months.
The improvements are part of the Berry/University Urban Village project, which is funded by a $3.4 million North Central Texas Council of Governments Sustainable Development Grant.
