Authorities issued an Amber Alert for Kayla Gomez, who was last seen at the Bullard First Assembly Church along U.S. 69 in Bullard in Cherokee County after a prayer service.

Gomez's brother told NBC 5 the kids often attend a special service and meet up with their families afterward. The family waited for Gomez in the church lobby, but she didn't return.

Gomez was described as 4 feet tall and 90 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black Racquet & Jog shirt and a peach-colored skirt.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office issues an Amber Alert Wednesday morning for a 10-year-old girl who was last seen at a church in Bullard, Texas, Tuesday night.

Police originally said the person believed to have taken Gomez may have been driving a red Cadillac SRX. Police later said the vehicle information was no longer valid after police contacted the owner and learned there was no connection to the girl's disappearance.

Authorities said they think Gomez could be in immediate danger.
