Dallas police said they are investigating after they found a woman who had been shot and then falling out of a vehicle Wednesday morning.
Dallas Fire Rescue dispatchers said the woman was riding in a vehicle when she was shot twice in the leg. Police said they're not sure if she fell or was pushed out of the vehicle in the 10200 block of Hillhouse Lane.
Officers are searching the Laprada Place Apartments in the 8300 block of La Prada Drive, police said.
Some Laprada apartment residents told NBC 5 they don't feel safe. Resident Nico Johnson said he worries about his kids.
"It was shocking because a couple of nights ago someone in front of my window got stabbed," he said. "It's scary over here."
The woman was taken to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. Police said the woman was conscious and alert in the ambulance.
