Officials said a water main break opened a sinkhole in an Arlington street Sunday, closing the road.
Residents told NBC 5 they first noticed the hole early yesterday morning on Shorewood Drive near Pelican Court in West Arlington.
City officials said they think the 6-inch pipe broke, causing the sinkhole. Crews began filling the hole, but said the street will be closed for repair at least until tomorrow.
Some residents of the neighborhood told NBC 5 they worry there's more damage.
"I think it's worse than they think," resident Brian Joseph said.
