Two Victims Identified in Anna Roof Collapse

A North Texas woman and her husband have died after being struck by a barn roof that blew off during strong winds.

The Collin County Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the victims as 60-year-old Pamela Wiginton and 61-year-old Kennie Wiginton. The accident happened Friday at the couple's property east of Anna, about 45 miles north of Dallas.

Lt. John Norton says a front came through and high winds blew the roof off a barn as the couple worked on the barn.

The woman was dead at the scene. Norton says her husband died Saturday at a Dallas hospital.

NBC 5 meteorologist Rick Mitchell said the damage was likely due to strong winds from a dying storm in Collin County. The storm moved through the area at about 5:30 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

No warnings in connection with the storm were issued by the National Weather Service.
