Texas Man Accused of Threatening HS Football Coaches

A man was accused of barging into a locker room and threatening several Alice High School football coaches in an ex-player dispute involving his brother.

Jim Wells County jail records show 25-year-old Aaron Garza of Alice was charged with criminal trespass and four counts of assault on a public servant. Nobody was hurt.

Garza was arrested Friday night in a confrontation over his younger brother allegedly not allowed to play for another town. A police report says Garza threatened to harm coach Chris Soza, who was not present. Police say Garza also allegedly threatened several coaches as they prepared to review football video.

Garza was freed Saturday on $2,050 bond. Jail records Tuesday didn't list an attorney for him.

Soza declined comment. Details weren't immediately available on the ex-player.
