Search Continues for Possible Drowning Victim in Venus

Emergency responders spent Sunday evening looking for a teenager who possibly drowned while dove hunting.

Officials in Johnson County confirmed to NBC DFW Sunday the call came into dispatchers around 8 p.m. from Venus near County Road 615. 

Officials said an adult and two teenagers were dove hunting. A dove was shot and fell into a large stock pond. One teenager went into the pond after the bird but never surfaced.

Emergency crews are now trying to recover the teenager's body. 

The name of the victim has not been released.
