Arlington Police: Road Rage Turns to Gun Shots, Suspect Arrested For Unlawful Possession

Arlington police arrested one man Saturday afternoon who they say fired a gun five times into the air after a road rage incident.

The incident started in the 800 block of Web Street. 

Investigators say a driver honked her horn when she says another driver almost hit her. That angered the other driver, and a passenger in that car then pulled a gun an fired it 5 times into the air.

Witnesses were able to later help police locate the suspect's car, which was near a CiCi's Pizza. Police arrested Jose Mendoza for deadly conduct and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, according to reports.

The female driver was also taken into custody for an expired license.

The gun and ammunition were later found inside the suspect's apartment.
