Authorities said a police chase ended when a stolen vehicle crashed into a Dallas home Tuesday morning.
Dallas County Sheriff's deputies said they tried to pull over a stolen Mazda CX-5 on Interstate 35E near Jefferson Boulevard at about 5:10 a.m. The driver did not stop, which began the pursuit.
The chase lasted for several minutes along U.S. 67 and Loop 12 before the the SUV crashed into the house in the 1200 block of Dacki Avenue, according to officials.
No one in the house was injured.
Deputies said the driver — a 22-year-old male — tried to run from the scene, but was apprehended. He will face charges including theft and evading arrest.
A Dallas police helicopter assisted in the pursuit.
