NBC 5 Obtains Search Warrant for Dhawan Home

Pills and a note were found next to a man who was found dead with his wife at their Frisco home Sept. 3, according to a search warrant released Monday.

Sumeet Dahwan’s body was found in the downstairs bedroom with signs of trauma, police have said. His wife Pallavi Dahwan, who was under investigation in the death of the couple’s son in January, was found floating face down in the backyard pool.

The warrant reveals police also found a “hammer with wood grip” and “stainless steel shears with wood handles” inside the house.

Police have not specified how Sumeet Dahwan died but a gun was not among the items that investigators found inside the house.

The search warrant also lists numerous pill bottles that were found inside the home. Some of the bottles were empty.  The medicine included Advil, sleeping pills, and cold medicine.

The contents of the note, which the warrant described as a “handwritten letter on white paper,” have not been released.

Pallavi Dahwan was under investigation for the January death of the couple’s 10-year-old son Arnav. She said the boy, who had an ongoing medical condition, died in his sleep and that she never harmed the child.

A grand jury was investigating at the time the couple was found dead.

The affidavit for search warrant can be read below in its entirety.
