Marine SSGT Joshua Franks survived a roadside bomb during his third tour in Iraq only to find out he has an inoperable brain tumor.
NBC 5 introduced you to Franks on February 29, the day of his wedding.
Family and friends flew to North Texas to see Franks marry Candi Delp in a ceremony at the VA Hospital in Dallas.
The couple was set to get married in September, but moved the wedding up when doctors told him Franks may not live to see September.
On Friday, at 4:45 a.m., Franks lost his battle with brain cancer, he died at his home in Argyle at the age of 28.
