A man was shot and injured after an attempted robbery overnight in Garland, according to police.
Friday morning just after midnight, police and paramedics responded to the call in the 1400 block of Maple Drive when they found a man in his mid-20's suffering from a single gunshot wound.
The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a nearby hospital. Officials say his injuries are not life threatening.
Police said the victim and his friend were walking on Maple Drive when they were robbed by three men at gunpoint.
The three men were last seen driving away in a small dark colored car, and investigators say they are working on identifying the suspects.
