The changing Downtown Dallas skyline is one of the things you can look forward to in 2012.
The long awaited Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is scheduled to open Sunday, March 4 after a weekend of festivities from street fairs to a 5K race. You may have already driven by the 400 foot tall white arch with cables extending to the roadway below. The suspension bridge connects Woodall Rodgers Freeway across the Trinity River to West Dallas. It is one of three "signature" bridges scheduled to be built in Dallas.
The bridge is designed by architect Santiago Calatrava. Construction began in 2007. It will include six lanes for traffic.
