Kentucky Company to Repay Texans Up to $1.3 Million

Refund claims must be submitted by Nov. 28 to the Texas agency

A Kentucky company accused of using deceptive trade practices has agreed to repay Texas customers up to $1.3 million.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott's office on Tuesday announced the settlement with Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing Inc. of Lexington, Ky.

The company faced allegations of operating an illegal pyramid scheme.

Abbott's office says customers of Fortune High-Tech complained that the company falsely represented what they would earn by becoming independent representatives of the organization.

Refund claims must be submitted by Nov. 28 to the Texas agency.
