Gas Line Explodes in Lake Worth

Firefighters are working to get a gas line explosion under control in Lake Worth.

The line ruptured just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3600 block of Shawnee Trail when a backhoe hit a three-inch residential gas line causing it to explode, according to Tarrant County Fire disptachers.

No injuries were reported and no homes or people are in danger, according to fire dispatch, and so far no evacuations have been ordered.

Lake Worth, Saginaw, River Oaks and Eagle Mountain fire departments are on the scene while workers try to cap the leak.
