Fatality Crash Reported in Fort Worth

Fort Worth police say a man who died after his vehicle crashed and caught on fire Monday afternoon had been involved in two separate hit-and-run collisions in the area.

Officers were called at about 3 p.m. at the intersection of East Berry Street and Bright Street.

There, a tan Buick sedan was seen at rest near a utility pole and resident fence, while an SUV was nearby on an adjacent corner of the intersection.

Investigators said the adult male driver of the Buick had fled the scene of a second hit-and-run crash and struck the utillity pole, causing the vehicle to catch on fire.

The driver of the Buick was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The drivers of the other vehicles that had been struck were not seriously hurt.

Officials have not released the identity of the man who died.
