Fallen Dallas Officer's Family In Tournament of Roses Parade

The family of Senior Cpl. Victor Lozada will be taking part in the 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day.

Lozada, 49, passed away after an accident while riding in the escort motorcade for Sen. Hillary Clinton in Dallas.

Lozada's wife Theresa gave her husband's organs and tissues. "It's meant something to a lot of people and myself of course. His life keeps going on through other people," said Theresa Lozada.

Theresa and their four children will ride in a float sponsored by Donate Life America in the New Years Day parade to promote organ and tissue donation. Victor’s image will be depicted on the float adorned with floral materials.

The 120th Rose Parade themed, “Hats Off To Entertainment,” will take place Jan. 1, 2009, and can be seen on NBC 5 from 10 a.m. until Noon.
