FBI Seeking β€˜Black Hoodie Bandit' in DFW Robberies

The FBI is asking for the public's help identifying the so-called "Black Hoodie Bandit," believed to be responsible for as many as nine bank robberies across the Metroplex since November 2014.

Investigators said the suspect typically enters a bank branch located inside a large retail store and displays a note demanding money.

She has been seen leaving the robberies in a silver car or PT Cruiser, officials said.

The robberies have been reported in Arlington, Grand Prairie, Irving, Mansfield, McKinney and Mesquite.

The FBI described the suspect as a black female in her 30s or 40s with a mole or piercing above the right side of her lip. She is approximately 5'2" and 160 pounds and typically wears a black hoodie, black pants, black shoes and over-sized black-framed sunglasses.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Dallas FBI office at 972-559-5000 or your local police department.
