Person shoots through door as Dallas police try to serve warrant

Police and SWAT teams surrounded an Oak Cliff apartment complex Thursday morning after someone shot at officers trying to serve a warrant.

Dallas police said officers and U.S. Marshals were serving a felony warrant at the Rosemont at Cedar Crest apartments in the 3300 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard at about 6 a.m. when someone inside shot through the door.

Dallas police said no injuries were reported.

Multiple people left the apartment after the shooting and were taken into custody for questioning, according to authorities.

Police suspected that another person remained in the apartment. At least two SWAT units arrived at the apartments to assist.

At about 11:45 a.m., police said SWAT officers went inside and determined that no one was in the apartment.
