Police on Thursday released video and 911 calls related to the shooting of a 15-year-old whose estranged stepfather allegedly shot him several times.
Corey Dooley, a 15-year-old South Grand Prairie High School football player, sustained several gunshot wounds outside his grandmother's DeSoto home Oct. 16.
His estranged stepfather, Richard Richard, 46, surrendered to police outside the home.
Some of the video released by police was taken with a Vie Vu camera worn on the arresting officer's protective vest.
All DeSoto officers are equipped with the device, which is about the size of a pager. The video it records is downloaded later to a computer.
"I's another tool that the officers have with them to protect the public and protect the officer so there's a true account of what's going on and the officer's day-to-day duties are captured on a recording," Cpl. Melissa Franks said.
The Vie Vu video shows Richard sitting on a sidewalk moments after his arrest, being checked out by paramedics in an ambulance and then being booked into the DeSoto Jail on charges of aggravated assault.

An unidentified neighbor called 911 after hearing the gunfire.
"I don't know if it was a shotgun or something outside my house, but it was really, really loud," the caller said. "And I heard it about four or five times, and I just ran into my daughter's room, and I'm freaking out."
Dashboard camera video was recorded by other officers who responded to the shooting.
Dooley's mother took him by car to a DeSoto drugstore to get away from the shooting at her mother's house.
Two 911 calls came from witnesses at the store who saw the injured boy.
The video and 911 recordings were released after a Freedom of Information records request.
Dooley was released from the hospital Tuesday and is recuperating from his injuries. He attended a South Grand Prairie football game after being released to cheer for younger brother's team.
Dooley is the son of an NBC 5 photojournalist.
Richard declined an interview request at the Dallas County Jail, where he is being held.
