7-Eleven Franchisee Group Votes to Skip Annual Convention as Store Contracts Start to Expire in 2019

7-Eleven and its independent store owners continue to battle over new terms of a franchise agreement that expires next year.

Leaders of a coalition of franchisees voted for the second year in a row to skip the 7-Eleven sponsored annual convention in February for franchisees in Las Vegas.

The franchise group and the company have been feuding over terms of a new franchise agreement since 2017. These negotiations start early, but now it's just several weeks from when the first batch of franchise contracts will expire.
