3 Killed, 2 Injured in Fourth of July Shooting in Houston

Three people were fatally shot as a crowed gathered to watch fireworks in Houston Monday night, police say.

Investigators initially said two people were killed and two were injured Monday night after an argument broke out between two groups of people.

Police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said Tuesday that a third person who died was not one of those originally listed as injured.

Among the injured was a 10-year-old child, who KPRC-TV reports was shot in the abdomen and taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

No other information was immediately available, though Silva said more details will be released later Tuesday.

The three who were killed were all adult men.

Police have not released any further details on what led to the shooting.
